In commemoration of Brunel University London’s 50th anniversary, the CHMLS (College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences) offered the Dean’s Occupational Therapy Scholarship & the Dean’s Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy) Scholarship grant for international scholars with an admission offer under an undergraduate course in Health Sciences. This scholarship gives financial support to international students through an  annual tuition fee waiver.

Each year, roughly 20 BSc Physiotherapy and 20 BSc Occupational Therapy applicants are offered the scholarship award. This particular scholarship program also includes another 20 new slots available for scholars under a Life Sciences courses – including BSc Environmental Sciences and BSc Life Sciences. Note that students for this scholarship program must be enrolled under a full-time undergraduate degree programs in any of the course mentioned.

This is an entrance scholarship offer at Brunel University London, hence, there will be no need for a separate scholarship application. Therefore, all potential student will be assessed for eligibility to receive the scholarship offer. An assigned Course Admissions Tutor will assess the students based on their academic performance and measurable involvement in Health and Life sciences. The Course Admissions Tutor will then recommend the qualified student to the university Admissions Scholarship Team, and the qualified applicants will be notified via email.

Upon acceptance of the scholarship offer, students will be given a tuition fee waiver of about £2,000 each academic year, the qualified students are also required to meet the scholarship terms and conditions for renewal. Benefiting scholars will have the opportunity to represent the Physiotherapy, Life Sciences or Occupational Therapy program as a proud ambassador by effectively engaging in opportunities through sharing experiences of professional learning at Brunel. This scholarship offer must also not be received in combination with other internally funded financial aid programs or scholarship offer.

2. Brunel Medical School International Scholarship Program

With the aim of supporting aspiring medical scholars from various parts of the world, the institutions Medical School offers the Brunel Medical School International Scholarship award that provides financial assistance to eligible international students that already have an admission offer under the Bachelors of Medicine – Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) course program.

This scholarship program is a competitive merit-based award; hence, the Brunel Medical School will only select 5 students from the applicants each academic year. The selection process will be done by assessing every applicant’s academic performance (record/merit) and scores in some series of interviews by scholarship panel. The student’s ability represent is taken into consideration as well in ranking all the candidate for the award.

All international students meeting the admission requirements for the MBBS course program will be ranked depending on their scores in the admission VMMI (Virtual Multiple Mini Interview). Outstanding applicants for the scholarship will be invited to a closed-door interview session to assess the student’s goals (personal and professional) upon completion of the course program through the scholarship award. Qualified students will then continue with a short discussion and presentation session with the SAPBMS (Scholarship Application Panel of Brunel Medical School).

After the assessing the applications, qualified students will be notified through email in order to accept the scholarship offer. Upon accepting the scholarship offer, qualified students will receive a tuition fee reduction of about £6,000 for up to five years. Besides this, the qualified student will have the opportunity to act as ambassadors to the BMS MBBS program, where the student can share their experiences from the program. This scholarship offer must also not be received in combination with other internally funded financial aid programs or scholarship offer at Brunel University London.

3. College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship offer

  • Eligibility: International undergraduate scholars with admission offer under a full-time course program in the College of Design, Engineering & Physical Sciences
  • Scholarship Value: Up to £2,000 cash grant every academic year for a maximum of 3 years

This program was created with the aim to attract international students with outstanding academic excellence to Brunel University London, the institutions College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences award its Academic Excellence Scholarship grant, to support full-time undergraduate scholars through cash grants.

Brunel University London College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship offer is a merit-based unlimited scholarship grant open to FHEQ Level 4 (Year 1) undergraduate scholars of any Bachelor’s degree course offered to their qualified students. International students aspiring for this scholarship offer are required to have an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 33 points or an above.

Students would not be required for a separate application process as an entrance scholarship offer, making all interested students through the admission qualified for the scholarship eligibility assessment. The Admissions Scholarships Board will assess students based on their academic record during their secondary school programs. Successful applicants will be informed to accept the scholarship offer.

Once accepted, successful applicants will be given a cash grant of up to £2,000 every year for only a maximum of three academic years or 4 years for a sandwich course. Awardees will also become ambassadors to their particular degree programs.

Postgraduate Scholarships Program at Brunel University London

1. The British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM

  • Eligibility: International students from participating countries
  • Scholarship Value: Covers the full tuition fee, travel costs, monthly stipend and other financial support.

The British Council aims to encourage and support more female students to get involved in STEM industries. Therefore, in collaboration with Brunel University London, this scholarship program for Women in STEM is offered to international and foreign female scholars to pursue their desired master’s degree course in relation with STEM industries.

International candidates from Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are eligible to enroll for the scholarship award. 2. Commonwealth Shared Scholarship award

In order to financially support international students with excellent academic performance from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries, Brunel University London offers the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship award, with some part of the funding from the Commonwealth of Nations. This scholarship provides support for international students who have received an admission offer under any listed Master’s course programs at Brunel University London.

This particular funding is given only to interested international students hailing from the participating Commonwealth countries, please do visit the Commonwealth website to access the complete list of the 23 participating countries. The CSC will qualify applicants based on the stated criteria and shall be endorsed to Brunel University London to continue other consideration. All qualified scholars to receive the scholarship award will be published by The Commonwealth and informed of the channel of accepting the scholarship offer.
